Description
St. Thomas Aquinas (1225 – 1274) wrote the words for the “Sacris Solemniis” of which Panis Angelicus (Bread from the Angels) is part. César Franck then took the words of the entire mass and set them to his music in “Messe à trois voix” or “Solemn Mass” Op. 12.
Panis Angelicus is truly a beautiful gift.
